Thanks to the powerful electric motor, branches up to 50 mm thick can also be processed efficiently. The sound-insulated feed hopper with two-chamber system and a special blade for each respective material type enable you to separately fill hard and soft material for shredding. Inside the STIHL GHE 420, the powerful Multi-Cut 450 cutting system shreds quickly and precisely. The STIHL GHE 420’s sandwich-type blade system ensures high efficiency with its additional blades and tearing prongs. The One Click/One Turn safety switch integrated in the locking screw ensures that the electric shredder stops immediately when needed. The wide chassis gives the STIHL GHE 420 garden shredder a secure footing and, in combination with the transport wheels, ensures high mobility.
FOR SHREDDING ALL KINDS OF MATERIALS. The two-chamber system on STIHL shredders makes it possible for you to optimally shred both woody branch material and green plant waste. Thanks to two separate filler opening – one for woody matter and a second for soft garden waste – the material for shredding is fed to the appropriate shredding unit for optimal processing.
The soundproofed feed chute reduces working noise when shredding in the garden. The integrated spray protection provides a shield against swirling dirt.
ENABLES IMMEDIATE ENGINE STOP. With the one-click/one-turn safety switch, you can immediately stop the engine of your garden shredder with just one movement. The switch-on button and the safety switch are integrated together in one of the closing screws on the device.
